Eligibility

The Michigan Department of Community Health contracts with Delta Dental to provide dental benefits to Medicaid-eligible residents under the age of 21 who live in 59 Michigan counties. Eligible residents of these 59 counties are covered by Healthy Kids Dental.

Healthy Kids Dental enrollees must go to a dentist who participates in Delta Dental’s Healthy Kids Dental program or their dental care will not be covered. To find a participating dentist, click here and select Healthy Kids Dental/MIChild next to program in the green box.

Show your child's Delta Dental card at each appointment. The Delta Dental card is not the same as your Medical Assistance card. The correct one to show is the Delta Dental card. If you need a replacement card, you can request one by calling our Customer Service department at 1-800-482-8915.
