We maintain a Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Program to regularly measure and improve the population health services we provide to clients. Our comprehensive framework of QAPI policies and procedures positions us to be responsive to the requirements of our clients, regulators and accrediting organizations.
We improve quality through effective infrastructure. Delta Dental maintains the infrastructure needed to systematically measure and improve our population health management services. Our interdepartmental QAPI committee manages quality assessment and performance improvement activities across all relevant functional areas of our company.
We take a comprehensive approach to quality. The quality management activities of our QAPI Committee are supported by related governing bodies including our Credentialing Committee, Quality Assurance Committee and Utilization Management Committee. The interrelated activities of these groups drive our comprehensive approach to quality assessment and improvement. We have further strengthened our commitment to quality by applying best practices through our involvement with the National Committee for Quality Assurance accreditation program.
We use innovative quality improvement technology. On the front line, our population health team employs a sophisticated health informatics visualization platform to drive improved health outcomes. This research tool integrates the multiple sources of population-specific data needed to pinpoint community needs and maximize the quality of health education and outreach interventions.
